Volunteer with us

Current Opportunities

Whilst the University is closed we still have opportunities to get involved and volunteer with us. The Scottish Political Archive have launched a new crowdsourcing site to index and transcribe their 2014 Independence Referendum Collection.

The University Archives are also providing online volunteering opportunities to contribute to our Brig Digital Archive project.

The Art Collection are looking for Stirling students to act as mentors for the Arts Awards. CLOSING DATE 22nd May 2020

Volunteering at Stirling

The Art Collection and University Archives host student placements throughout the year. If you are interested in pursuing a career in curation or archive studies we can provide opportunities to learn hands on skills.

We have worked with a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate students, many who have gone on to secure jobs in archive and museum services.

“Working at the Archives with the other volunteers has been enriching, fun, and never dull, with no two days being the same and always having a new task to sink my teeth into. In two weeks it’ll be my final time climbing to Pathfoot hill to start my afternoon of volunteering, and I am going to miss working with these amazing people and interesting projects
