- Description: Barns-Graham's images are derived from acute observations of natural forms and places she had visited, pared to their bare essentials. It wasn‘t until her later life that she took up an interest in printmaking, particularly focussing on the art form from 1991. Born in 1912, this work was created by Barns-Graham in 2002, to mark her 90th birthday. Celebration was a theme that surfaced now and then in Barns-Graham‘s work throughout her career. As with most of the works created by Barns-Graham, this work displays a sense of movement and dynamism, travelling from the left of the print to the right. The work also features some unusual colour combinations.
