- Description: Jon Schueler met Bunty while on active service during WWII. He was in the American Air Corps but flying missions out of England (as a navigator). It was descriptions she made of visits to the Highlands of Scotland that inspired Schueler to visit and work there. Schueler eventually fulfilled his dream of visiting the Highlands (Mallaig), staying for 6 months in 1958 and then returning in 1970, when he stayed for 5 years.
