- Description: During an interview conducted in summer 2019 with the artist by Jane Cameron (Curator), Norman Ackroyd spoke about visiting St Kilda. He first went to this remote archipeligo, 40 miles west of the the Outer Hebrides, in 1989, and returned several times, only staying once, due to the extreme weather conditions. Whilst there, he used a feather store as a studio and accommodation, which was 'primitive ....but an incredible place to work'.
