- Description: The Beach is a handmade, limited edition boxed set and is a collaboration between the poet Kathleen Jamie and the photographer and printmaker Norman McBeath.The work is produced in a limited edition of twenty and features one poem from Kathleen Jamie's award-winning collection 'The Overhaul', and one specially produced, signed and editioned photogravure by Norman McBeath.
Each edition contains six separate sheets of Italian fine art paper (A3 size Fabriano Artistico 300gsm) including a colophon signed by Kathleen and Norman. The work is presented in a black, buckram archival quality solander box with gilt title. A CD recording of Kathleen reading the poem is also included.
The collaboration was very much built on the penultimate line of Kathleen's poem - "hoping for the marvellous" which both Kathleen and Norman felt was right at the heart of their work. - Dimensions: Large black box folder 44 x 32 x 2 cm contained in larger cardboard folder
