- Description: On donating this portrait of his father to the Art Collection, Craig Mair wrote: 'He was one of Scotland‘s larger than life characters, a surgeon then GP, an author of about 40 published books, a TV personality during the 1960s, a renowned traveller and adventurer, and he lived in Stirlingshire from 1952 to his death in 1989.'
