- Description: Much of the artist's work tends to be organic and is based on natural forms but she enjoys architectural shapes and is inspired by her travels. She says: 'On the whole I would say that I paint instinctively and that those pictures that satisfy me most are the ones that best distil whatever feelings I might have towards a particular subject.Technically, many of my pictures contain gesso and plaster for texturing with several layers of oils and glazes for depth. The abstract nature of my work also allows me to use colour to suggest shapes and landscapes which can be interpreted in various ways both by me and by the viewer'.
