Female Nude
- Artist:
- Type: Drawing
- Medium: Pen on paper
- Description: In the late 1950s, after a period of time committed to pure abstraction, Roger Hilton began to talk about a wish to ‘reinvent figuration‘. Images of nudes and aspects of the natural world began to resurface in his work of this time. This work is likely to date from the 1970s, when he was restricted to producing works on paper, due to being bedridden with a muscular disease.
