Syntagma SG I 3
- Artist:
- Type: Drawing
- Medium: Rotring on paper
- Production Date: 1971
- Description: Part of a series 'Syntagma'.
Jeffrey Steele was not only interested in the creation of a sense of space within artworks, but was also interested in how an audience responds to art and the way in which they move in the space around an artwork in order to gain different prespectives. In this way Steele differs from other op artists who were only interested in the optical effects they could create in artworks in order to make the images appear to move. Steele, however, was also interested in how his audience moved and in their interaction with his artworks. - Digital Copy:A digital copy exists.
