'Student politics: Political campaigns and speeches, taking a sabbatical year to serve as the first administrator for the Students' Association. Organising a teach-in on student representation in 1968 with Jack Straw, Tariq Ali and Robin Blackburn as the featured speakers. That was the year for fomenting rebellion. Setting up and running the Political Coordination Group (what a name!). As well as myself, stalwarts of the PCG included Jim Monan, Paul Martin and Charlie Bissett. During those years we brought quite a range of political speakers onto the campus ‘ Winnie Ewing, Jo Grimond, George Brown, Tam Dalyell, Sir Alec Douglas Home, Hilda Gadea (wife of Che Guevara), David Steel, the South Vietnamese Ambassador [father of this artist]. We should have kept a better record of it all'. - Dimensions: Framed: 96 cm (H) x 78 cm (W). Unframed: 61 cm (H) x 48 cm (W).
