- Description: From the beginning of the 20th Century Fergusson began to spend more time in France on extended painting holidays, often with his friend Samuel Peploe, in the fashionable northern beach resorts, and in Paris. Although this painting depicts an industrial scene, it is stylistically the same as his beach scenes and promenades.
