Letter from JP Haldane-Stevenson to unknown recipient dd. 29 January 1975, thanking for a gift of a photograph and discussing the particulars of his portrait that is being painted by Sir William Dargie.
A letter from JP Haldane-Stevenson to Professor Holliday, Acting Principal, University of Stirling dd. 15 November 1974 enquiring about arrangements for sending the portrait and insurance.
A reply letter from the Acting Principal, Professor Holliday, University of Stirling, to JP Haldane-Stevenson dd. 22 November 1974 discussing sending the portrait and insurance. Attached is a compliment slip from Irene Sobecki to Margaret Davidson dd. 7 January 1975, referring to the possible arrival of the portrait by the end of the year.
Two copies of the same letter dated 30 April 1975 from W.A. Cramond, Principal at the Univeristy of Stirling to JP Haldane-Stevenson confirming the arrival of his portrait at the university. It confirms it is hung in the librarian's office, in the Haldane Room.
