AC/AF/H/3/2 Correspondences: Selection of letters from James (Jim) Hardie to Mr and Mrs Oliver about their painting and exhibitions. In this bundle are:
A letter dated 01.08.1979 explaining their painting is one of a series relating to Hardie's experiences of flying a light aircraft at Plockton.
A letter on small blue note paper dated 19.01.1980 thanking Mr Mrs Oliver for their Christmas card, Hardie informs them their painting is framed and ready for collection.
A letter from James Hardie to Mr and Mrs Oliver on embellished paper dated 15 November 1981, Hardie asks if the paintings Mr and Mrs Oliver have in their posession can be shown at an exhibition.
Letter dated 19.01.1982 from Hardie to Mr and Mrs Oliver discussing the disruption of the opening of his exhibition due to bad weather and the return of the paintings on loan.
Letter dated 01.02.1988 from Hardie inviting Mr and Mrs Oliver to his The Brooklyn Connection exhibition.
A large letter on card paper dated 26.08.1993 from Hardie to Kew, it mentions Kew's wife Rowena in the letter inviting them to his next exhibition which involves inspiration from a Nord Noralpha 1948 aeroplane designed by Willy Messerschmidt.

AC/AF/H/3/5 Catalogue for 153rd Annual Exhibition at Royal Scottish Academy of painting, sculpture and architecture, 1979. Includes a season ticket No 726, valid from 21 July - 29 July 1979. James Hardie's works are nr 193 Windvane, 221 Windsock and Barrier, Plockton (circled with pen on page 18), 225 Windbreak at Plockton.
Pages 28-39 has the list of all exhibitors includes Elizabeth Blackadder (AC/AF/B/7) painting nrs 130, 131, 160, 182. She is listed as 1 of 2 female Academicians of the RSA, the other 28 are male. James Morrison, nrs 71, 125 and 211 (AC/AF/M/23). Alberto Morocco, nrs 66, 115, 135 (AC/AF/M/10) also Barbara Rae, 239 and 458 (AC/AF/R/1)
