  • Biography: Born in Pittsburgh, Marian Wenzel studied Philosophy at Columbia University and then completed a PhD at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. She became the world’s leading authority on the art and artefacts of medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as a campaigner and founder of the charity Bosnia-Herzegovina Heritage Rescue during the war there. She also painted for most of her life and was a poet and writer, and illustrator of short stories.
