  • Biography: Italo Violante was born in Lisbon and educated at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Genoa where he was part of the second generation of the Futurist movement. He was a participant in the XX Biennale in Venice in 1936, where he exhibited in the Futurist pavilion. During WWII he was imprisoned at El Alamein. After the war he became an architect in Italy, but during the 1960s returned to painting and exhibited widely in Europe.
