Sidney Birnie Stewart (1914 – 1976)

Biography: Sydney S. Birnie Stewart RSA RCA (also known as ‘Jock’) studied at the Royal College of Art and was a sculptor and teacher, latterly Head of Sculpture at the Edinburgh College of Art. He exhibited many times at the Royal Scottish Academy annual exhibition. His wife Betty Costa was also an artist and teacher.
