  • Biography: Moelwyn Merchant was an academic, novelist, sculptor, poet and Anglican priest. As an academic, he is best known for his widely-used editions of Shakespeare, and he taught at Universities in Wales, Exeter and Chicago. He later became Canon and Chancellor of Salisbury Cathedral, before returning to Wales. Merchant published a number of books of poetry and took to sculpture relatively late in life, in his sixties.
