James McIntosh Patrick (1907 – 1998)
View all Artists- Biography: James McIntosh Patrick RSA was the son of an architect and amateur artist who encouraged his son to draw and paint. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art 1924-5 and 1927-8 and in Paris and became a Scottish painter and etcher of landscapes and portraits, celebrated especially for his finely observed paintings of the Angus landscape and Dundee, Scotland, where he was based for most of his life.
