Malcolm Hood (1933 – 2005)
View all Artists- Biography: Born in Cambuslang, Malcom Hood studied from 1952 till 1957 at Glasgow School of Art where Alasdair Gray was a fellow student. They were lifelong friends. He trained as a mural designer, which led him to commissions in city churches. After moving to Fife in 1963, Malcolm had his first one man show at the Traverse Theatre Gallery in 1967. In 1984, he retired from teaching to work on a series of mountain landscapes in the West Highlands.
