View all Artists- Biography: Born in Paisley, Alexander Goudie studied at Glasgow School of Art (1950-55) and was a tutor there before devoting himself to art full time. He painted many eminent people, including the Queen, and in 1970 was elected a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
