John Busby (1928 – 2015)

Biography: Born in Bradford, John Busby (RSA RSW SWLA) studied at both Leeds and Edinburgh Colleges of Art where he was awarded post-graduate and major travel scholarships. He taught drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art from1956 until 1988. A lifelong bird-watcher and naturalist, he was a founder member of the Society of Wildlife Artists. An eminent avian artist, he was also a painter of landscapes and panoramas influenced by his love of birds and their flight.
