Trevor Bell (1930 – 2017)

Biography: Born in Leeds, Trevor Bell studied art at his local college and went on to make a name for himself as one of the younger generation of the St Ives painters in Cornwall. After a touring retrospective exhibition in 1970, which visited Scotland, he accepted a position to teach at the Florida State University where he then established a studio. He also lived and worked in France, Italy and Canada. He returned to the UK in 1996 with his home and studio located near Penzance, Cornwall.
