COVID-19 Reopening: Archives & Special Collections
We are currently making preparations to provide access to our archives and special collections in preparation for the new academic year. Our archives team will be on site to answer your enquiries and provide remote access to material though our digitisation-on-demand service. Exciting new online student volunteer projects are also being developed. Our archives reading room will reopen on Monday 3 August. If you require a visit to the archives to consult our collections, please note that the capacity of our reading room has been reduced in line with social distancing measures. Please contact us at email@example.com / 01786 466070 to plan your visit.
How can we help?
I’m a student interested in volunteering in the University Archives
We are developing a range of volunteering opportunities which can be carried out online including the Scottish Political Archives micropasts project. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
I have an enquiry about your collections
Our archives team will endeavour to answer your enquiry by researching the collections on your behalf and providing an email response.
I want to view a specific item held in the University Archives
Where possible our archives team will provide you with a digitised copy of the item rather than making the original available to view in the archives reading room
I want to carry out research on material held in your collections
Please contact our archives team at email@example.com to discuss arrangements for your visit
