George Guest (1935 – 2020)

Biography: George Guest was born in Yorkshire and studied at the Rotherham School of Art and the Camberwell School of Art. In 1971, Guest moved to rural Oxfordshire from London which was a such a huge change for him that it made a powerful visual and emotional impact on him. He ended up leaving his successful career as a commercial lithographer and committed himself entirely to traditional painting and printmaking.
